Bank fishing... Definitely. Boat fishing... Depends. Fishing with a buddy in the boat can be fun, but the solitude of being on the water alone is nice. I'm getting ready to take the grandkids out in the boat for the first time, that should be a fun time.

That stinks! Seems like their quality control is lacking. Recalls happen, but all the little stuff gets agrivating and is avoidable. I own an old Ranger the build quality is outstanding.

I fish one culvert that is around 3ft in diameter. The water running through after storms has worn a nice ditch into the bottom of the pond. I'll take a worm or jig and run through that ditch, it almost always produces fish. Especially, after a heavy rain.

I was little skeptical about it... So, traps are the best measure against those critters?

I hate them things, they will tear up your lawn in no time at all. Do the poison baits work? They sell them at Lowes here in N.C.

Try something fished a little faster like a chatterbait or smaller spinnerbait, it's harder for bass to be non-committal when they attack a faster moving bait. As for your Texas rigs, try smaller baits and see how that goes. As a side note, I use Edge Hot Sauce on my baits it seems to make the fish hold the bait longer as it simulates the slime coat that fish have on their body. Hope this helps.

Wow! Hawg!

Went out for a while yesterday, I figured with a cold front approaching it would be a good day. Well for me... Not so much. Gary the Gator out -fished me big time. I got a couple of small bass and one Pickerel. He however, was raking them in.

Caught a few over the last week or so... Chatterbaits and spinnerbaits have been hot, runner up... Jigs. It been a tough bite in the boat, they are on the shad hard. Managed to get one decent one that got greedy.

10000 fish Saw Craw or Creme Speed Screamer. I don't use a trailer on spinnerbaits too often, but when I do I use a Salty Tube Bait.

Yep... It's really convenient to hit the ponds in my neighborhood, so I can fish everyday:-) I love boat fishing also, but I don't do it as much. My buddy drags me out once in a while.

Took the old Ranger out to Sutton Lake this morning. Hit a nice hawg early... They were absolutely slamming the shad. Water temp was 78 degrees she hit a spinnerbait with a salty tube trailer. Caught one more a little later in the trip on the same bait.
