Drop Shot Weights: Tear drop or pencil?
When would you choose one over the other? And which is better at preventing snags on rocky bottoms?

Lightweight Net: Who makes em
Unfortunately some net makers don't list the weights on their sites, I'm looking for some companies that make lightweight nets that I can use when fishing alone. A nice ultralightweight net w 4-5 ft shaft would be the ticket! Let me know what you guys like.

tangled spool when fishing wacky rig
Sorry and one last Q: If I step down from 10lb flouro to 8 or 6lb will that help?

tangled spool when fishing wacky rig
Thanks all I will use those tips, to clear up on the gear side of it... 1. So with a baitcaster there would be some but less spin correct? 2. Is the reason larger spinning reels tend to have less line twist because the diameter of the inner spool which line wraps around is greater, or that with the same amount of line there's more space between edge of top of spool and line (its deeper in), or both? guessing both. 3. If I use braid to help, where do you all stand on leader length, short so doesnt go through guides or long and knots dont hurt guides much over long term?

Considering a custom rod...
Thanks, it is a rods power that has the most to do with making a small fish feel big right? So when you see the word mag added it's basically in between in listed power and the next power up?

Considering a custom rod...
3 part question here, appreciate the help. 1. first I'll just see if anyone can suggest an off the shelf rod (6'8 - 7 spinning) - I like light gear during the fight but the max suggested weight for many med lights is 3/8 and can barley handle that. I'd really like a rod that will feel med light when fighting a fish but can handle up to a 3/8 more easily. Like in between a med light and medium, anything come to mind? I'm looking to splurge so anything goes. Would be for some 3/8 lures, wacky, various stuff. 2. On custom rods, The big rod companies use some proprietary tech and by going custom I would not be able to get that. If you want the best, is a downside to custom, being limited in materials to an extent? I've seen G loomis advertise some special resin but there are other examples, what do you all think of this and any other downsides to custom? 3. Lastly, anyone recommend an amazing custom rod builder?

tangled spool when fishing wacky rig
Here's what confuses me a little, you're supposed to let the wacky sink freely, if you have some tension doesn't it like not fall right or? @TOXICWhy against swivels? I was thinking of tying a swivel a foot or so in front of the wacky rig so help with twisting. I have been using assassin 10lb flouro. Is there a flouro with less memory out there/which one?

tangled spool when fishing wacky rig
After a while of fishing a wacky rig I often get tangled up spools (spinning reel), there's lot's of time with no tension on the line which can form loops/tangles. I don't notice them initially then it becomes a mess, it probably starts when I reel under no tension but that's part of wacky fishing no? Do other people have this issue and how can I solve it or might the problem be something else? Suggestions on technique, best line to use, any ideas appreciated.

Shortening Ultrex Shaft: Anyone done it?
I have a 60 inch Ipilot Link with DI and would like to shorten it to 55 inches. Where are the wires inside the shaft? Has anyone done this and could you list out the steps/important considerations ie "in order to not cut wires do this" or "this is the part where you need to be careful" that would be helpful thanks all.

1st boat- Solix/Transducer Options
and one thing I forgot to ask, would I be able to control the ultrex from either of the 2 solix in the 2 solix option? Ty!

1st boat- Solix/Transducer Options
Can you select between seeing a transom SI transducer and a Ultrex SI transducer easily from one Solix g3 or can only one be hooked up? I dont need to see them at the same time (or can you?), just wondering if I can select between them and get full use of both from one solix. If not, what if I had 2 solix, could I see all of the transducers on the boat from either solix (so I can now see transom or ultrex SI from console solix or bow solix) or would I only be able to see say the transom SI from console solix and the ultrex SI from bow solix? I know you can use a 360 with another transducer like an ultrex mounted one but you lose SI with it, still get sonar and DI. But what if I had one solix hooked up to a transom SI and 360 upfront and lifted the 360 out of the water, would the system recognize this and allow me to see the transom SI or will the transom SI not work as long as those 2 are both plugged in? Thanks all!
