Hey guys, had a question for anyone who air travels a lot with a rod. Im looking for a good travel rod that can be a carry on (3 piece would be ideal). Ill be traveling to the Elizabeth City NC area in August (will be moving there in a few months) and wanted to test the waters down there. I'd like to spend no more than $100 on it if possible. Thanks!

Even worse when you're spending 40+ hours a week at a job ya can't stand. The fact that were half way through July already is mind blowing.

Sold a high dollar custom surf rod i wont be needing after my move to NC, SO I Picked up a couple new rods and reels this month. LEWs Carbon Fire, Lews Tournament MP (Holy cow its nice) Daiwa Fuego, Shimano Sahara 2500 for drop shotting... then rods to match them, couple of different Lews CF rods (I really like their CF line, a shame only one place sells them) and a Tsunami Scaletech ML/F for the drop shot rig. Fantastic rods for $60.

Ugh this is the worst. Im the type that will fish a tide any given time of day or night, even if it means waking at 2am to hit a 3am tide. 99% of the time I fish by myself. All the guys in my fishing group however, ugh the worst. Late risers, late starters, never on time or early etc... if I need to be there at 6:30, im there at 5:45 lol

Hey all, so this year I've made a real effort to use HB frogs and its absolutely paid off so far (PB was caught on one a few weeks ago!). Well today I was fishing some real scummy/duck weed pond edges and noticed almost every cast and retrieve, big bullfrog were pursuing the HB frog. It was so bizarre! I've never seen that. Is it a normal occurrence? Act of cannibalism? Maybe just trying to get freaky? Haha.

Dude my boy has one. If I wasn't trying to get into a Tracker, I'd buy one.

If you can't afford or don't have the room for a boat, its absolutely worth it. I spend 90% of my time during the season in my hobie.

Morning fellas! My name is Dan, im from long island. Long time lurker, been fishing on and off my whole life (30+ years) but only really started getting into bass fishing the last 6 years or so. Always was heavy into saltwater fishing. I have a Hobie compass I fish from and will be buying my first bass boat when I move to North Carolina (Elizabeth city).
