2-3. I usually will just lean them against a tree or something. As long as the reel isn't in the dirt I'm fine with it.

I pretty much only fish for largemouth, but that's just because that's all we have in my area. no SM and the only areas that really have spots are tiny streams where they very rarely break 14"

Heck of a fish 260 bass!!!

I am not planning on going to college. I have actually turned down big scholarships that I had won bass fishing. I don't have any set long term plans, but I'm planning on working at my Dad's salvage yard some while building my brand in the outdoor industry at first. Probably going to start guiding (kayak and surf) in the fall. I may doing some work with a big tournament hosting company starting in the summer, but that isn't concrete yet. I've also considered working for my girlfriend's dad a couple years to learn some carpentry skills. I have a lot of different ideas and possibilities, but not many concrete plans at the moment. Just taking the next step and going to see where God leads me. Not sure how much I'll help balance out the older guys. Most of my friends are at least 40. Some twice that. Most teenagers just frustrate me ?

The largemouth for sure. I just would love to see what one 20lbs OVER my PB would look like!

Winter is the toughest for me just because we get a lot of high winds in the winter, which makes positioning tough in my kayak. Plus I hate being cold (though cold for me would be a nice warm spring day for many of y'all). The fishing is usually still great for me during the winter, but the above water weather is just so much more of a pain to deal with.

Not sure how helpful this is, but I have mine rigged on an arm I built that sits in the sail holder of my outback and runs over the side. If it hits something hard it will just lift up, so I don't ever worry about it. Then again all my creeks are sand, not rocks, so that might change things

@roadwarrior Man, it was awesome! I would post the video on here but I'm not exactly sure of the rules with that. Is saying "please subscribe" or something like that at the end considered promotion? Caught about 15 in hour yesterday on a jackhammer. 20" was the biggest, the rest were between 14-16".

Cypress Swamps and Grass

Hi everyone, I've been following the bass resource for years, but just never made an account for some reason. Finally signed up. LOL I'm a high school senior (about to graduate!) from Mobile, Alabama. I've been fishing since I was old enough to hold a rod and reel. Being in an area that has a quick access to a ton of different types of water, I do a lot of different kinds of fishing. Bass, Inshore, Offshore, Surf, etc.. I got into the kayak game last spring and really enjoy that. I fish a lot of tournaments, build my own rods, and started my own outdoor themed youtube channel late last summer. The biggest largemouth I've ever weighed was 6-12 and 21.5", but I have caught 2 that were 22.5" that I didn't get to weigh, but I estimate they were probably about 7lbs. I've gained a ton of knowledge off this place over the years and decided to start contributing! Glad to be here!
