Producto Plastics???
ww2f, I'll play devil's advocate here. Let's put principles before personalities. In other words carrying this a bit further, If you were dying of thirst and the benefactor of the water rubbed you the wrong way, you'd pass on the water?. Been there done that. i cut off my nose to spite my face so many times that it's a wonder I have a nose at all. LOL. The Buzztail Shad are good baits, don't deprive yourself. Off my soapbox and wishing ya tight lines & heavy fish

Tough, low stretch mono
Whoa Whoa !! there pardner. Sounds like there are two things going on here. #1, breaking off on hooksets. #2 wanting to try something else. I'm not advocating Not changing line on some of your rigs, but do it for the right reason so you'll be more content down the road. When you're breaking off, is it the knot breaking? (a little curley Q on the end) if it's this then we have a knotty problem. or is the line breaking above the knot? Are you checking for nicks & abrasion frequently and retying enough? Also have you tried a different brand of FC line? Now on to my opinions, I use FC on my worm rods, this includes light cover jigs. Mono on my treble hook & Spinner bait rods and braid on my swimbait and frog rods. I'm not going to get into brand names, I'll leave that to others. Just some things to think about given the information you put out there. Tight lines.

Would Friday be a good day?
Here in Central FLA it has rained everyday since last Sunday. Some places got as much as 24". My local pond is up 15" in 4 days. With that said, I have fished everyday, average of 2.75 hrs a day in the rain (no lightning). 1 @ 6.0 # 1 @ 4.0# 1 @ 2.5# 2 @ 2.0# 3 @ 1.5# 7 @ 1.0# 11 Dinks The first couple of days the big fish had moved in shallow < 2' then they moved out a bit. Don't let the rain stop you, but don't be a nut for the lightning bolt. I hate wet feet.

What's In My Lake!??
I'm really surprised that no one has mentioned fishing some of those "tiny" bluegills as live bait. Soak some of those gills for awhile, that should give you an answer. Be patient. & Good Luck

Does this really work????
Just took a set off my MK Edge 40#. The Eel grass os topping out and the tendrils are wicked thick this year. Tried the shear magic, and was really disappointed. The tendrils wound under the blades worse than if they weren't installed. Removed them this morning before we left for the lake. Had a much easier time with the grass today.

Simple Rod Storage Question
Expensive Fly rods, Waders, Pontoon boat etc. all in the back of a Jeep Grand Cherokee. What to do??? Oh! Dear me... http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/pod/horizontal-pod.jsp;jsessionid=R3KAM0TIOX0IVLAQBBKSCONMCAEFAIWE?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/pod-link.jsp_A&_DAV=MainCatcat21412-cat21462-cat600033&rid=&indexId=cat600033&navAction=push&masterpathid=&navCount=0&parentType=index&parentId=cat600033&id=0022969&_requestid=59992 Not Cheap but It's flawless and I get lots of comments on it. I also transport my B/C & Spin rods when bank fishing local ponds. But NEVER leave them overnight. Oh BTW 8' rods will fit in Grand Cherokee. Hope you find what you need.

You Have Got $120.00 For a Rod . . . .
I do ? Would you mind if I filled my gas tanks, and payed my day use fees instead ? :-) So many good rods out there. One things for sure...... No matter what you buy, or where you buy it from, I'd highly recommend finding one that you can pick up and hold in person. Even try slapping a comparable reel on it so you can get the actual feel of it, first. The only way I'd buy a rod online, would be if I had already owned that exact rod previously. Peace, Fish X2

Sea Eagle Fold Cat
I've got the 375c and put a minkota 30# on it works great. It is a bit difficult when windy, so I'll probably order the skags to put on it. Handles two men 400 lbs and gear no prob.

Sea Eagle Fold Cat
I've had mine for about 2 yrs now. bought it to float & fly fish the rivers in No. GA. Worked very well. Then used it on the small ponds down here in FLA. Again it works very well usually fish with a partner, extremely stable especially with the casting bar (option). As far as setup. I got the mid range elec pump. and it takes me about 15 minutes from the time I pull up until the Trolling motor is mounted and tackle loaded. I carry mine in the back of a Jeep Grand Cherokee. I don't think even w/o the TM I could do it in 5 min as they claim. Would I trade it for a Jon Boat? nope. PM me if you have any more ?

Power Loading
That really works Lee. BUT it also makes things slick for quite some time and please keep the winch strap connected to the boat while backing down the ramp. Having a boat on the ramp without a trailer under it could ruin the day.

What i'm fishing out of now
Sweet rig, may it take you to many a Bass Hole. Oops did I just say that? Best of luck to you.

What does a bass bed look like and how do you see them?
X2 and if you see a "Do Not Disturb" sign, just keep on going. They're locked on and doing their thing. ;) :-[

Reaction Strike Revolution Shad
We covered this last fall, the Reaction baits have come apart easily. mine after 4 casts and no fish. I've got some spro's that I've fished since last fall and they're still going strong. My Magic swimmers are the slow sink and they make a great wake bait and the finish holds up well also.

Odor Control
As I see it, you've got a couple of choices. 1.) Don't worry about it you'll get used to it and start eating a lot of Pizza. 2.) Swab the inside of your nose with a light coat of Petroleum Jelly thus covering the receptors. LOL

spro aruku shad
Lee, is it the "Golden Shiner"? or the Gold with Black back? I'd hate to think that you've got a color that I don't. LOL ;D

Adjust while fishing?
Ran Charter Boats & private yachts for over 20 years and 99.873% of the broken lines were due to some one tampering with a preset drag. Set it and use your thumb or finger if you feel the need for more drag. Nuf Said.

Knot for Fluoro leader/fusion line
As stated before make sure you moisten the line before you tighten it. My pref is the blood knot (it's smaller diameter and passes thru the eyes better) and then the uni to uni.
