  1. I really appreciate the responses! My only remaining question is this — is the lake master map as high of resolution as the avionics map?

  3. Hello all, I have a Helix 9 from humminbird. It’s a great unit and I love it, but I need to upgrade my maps. I live out west and the lake that I most want is Lake Powell. It doesn’t look like Powell has any Hi-Rez mapping from anywhere. It’s a huge lake 250 miles long with one of the biggest shorelines of any lake in the US. I’ve tried to decide if I should buy a lake master map pack from humminbird, or if I should buy a navionics+ map pack from navionics. But to be completely honest, I have no idea what the hell I’m doing. I’m not even sure if both of those Map packs are compatible with my unit. Lake Powell is the first lake on the Colorado river drainage system, it’s situated above Lake Mead. As such the surface water level in Lake Powell can vary by 50 feet or more from one year to the next, so I need a map that I can do water level offset to try and get it dialed in. I am an absolute newbie at this and really don’t even know how the hell to get this to work at all, I tried to hold today on with hummingbird for about an hour and couldn’t get any help. I’m hoping somebody somebody on here can give me some advice on what to buy and how to do this. thanks
