  1. Megabass haze dong shads are a bit more durable than the smaller Keitechs...
  2. Definitely not... Exprides are the best bang for your buck in the shimano lineup...
  3. I use my conquest 101 paired with a megabass p5 javelin for cranking duties... It's my only round reel in my arsenal....
  4. I've night fished and that blue light didn't affect my vision at all... Mine is located in front of me also...
  5. I changed mine once the 2 yr motor warranty was up... No more failure worries now..
  6. I have 14 shimano baitcasters.. Changed all my stock handles and knobs to gomexus ones... If you were local to me.. I'd just give you my stock ones...
  7. Your reel don't matter.. Pick a suitable rod...
  8. 4 power for 3/4... I'd use my nrx plus 904c for dark sleeper in that size...
  9. I have a helix 9 on my autopilot 120...will eventually add a 2nd screen once I'm running Garmin livescope.... If it works.. It's never enough....
  10. It's my only hobby that requires money.. So no budget...
  11. Not at all for me... Most of my rods are 7'3 to 7'6...i prefer the longer lengths in rods...
  12. Only have one round reel (2013 calcutta) out of my 16 baitcasters....
  13. 3700 with my terminal tackle... 3700 full of Keitech swing fat impact and frogs... Small tray with various dbls of hard baits... A few bags of soft plastics... I rarely change out my hard baits unless I lose them but do go thru a bunch of soft plastics... Most of my full planos stay home...
  14. I'll only buy when stores have 20% off sales... Or used ones will go for about 600 to 700...better than paying full msrp..
  15. Kvd line conditioner is a great way to extend life of line... Money well spent...
  16. Always use some sort of backing on all my reels... Saves you money on line...
  17. Not a fan of my 72 mhg expride for crank baits...just feels too spongey for cranking... Love it for bladed jig duty only.... I was looking the at Croix glass rods b4... But they sure are thick.. Didn't like the broomstick feel of them.... I prefer dobyns cb rods or megabass p5 javelin for my cranking setups...
  18. Rain gear... Invest in good rain gear and you'll never be afraid to fish on the rain...
  19. I find no difference in the way I fish on my kayak or boat.... I actually find it much comfortable sitting down and fishing most of the time on the kayak... Only if I'm punching heavy cover I'll find the need to stand up more often...
  20. As much as I love my nrx plus rods.. Their build quality is sub par VS some Japanese made rods... I've yet to see any build imperfections on my p5s.. My nrxs will have extra expoxy on the guide wraps... Quality control is not as stringent with g Loomis IMO... I'll still pay a slight premium for nrx just for its warranty alone..
  21. Why do you need a shorter rod for kayak fishing?.. I use nothing shorter than 7'2 on mine... It's all personal preference whether you fishing from boat, shore or kayak.... I prefer longer rods except for my jerkbait setup which is a 6'10...everything else is 7'2 to 7'5..
  22. I have a metanium b hg with my 873...you can't go wrong with any generation metanium...
  23. Nrx 895c..7'5 mag heavy with bantam xg and 50lb sunline fx2 braid...
  24. And some room to spare too..my blackpack now has 10 rod holders... I had 8 in this picture the year I got it... 2022 Oldtown Autopilot 120
