Sabine parish is closed to all camping tent, rv, camper and cabin rental. The way it's worded if you don't own it you can't come here and stay in it as of right now. For as I know the public ramps are open at this time.

Well the bite is still going strong but the size is down. Been averaging 40 fish a day, anywhere's from 1 foot too 12 foot of water. Most fish I'm finding are stagged up in 6 to 8 foot on humps,ridges and grass lines. Strange thing is I'm getting my best bites on Trig plastics. Y'all mark this post. Come next spawn if sra doesn't jack with the water too much we will see a near record setting spawn next year. Reason I say this is due to the lake conditions at the start of this spawn the vast majority of fish never came up and spawned out deep. If the water stays stable till next spawn the banks will be loaded to the max with 3 to 5 pounders next year.

Man this lake is fishing so good right now. Like I haven't seen it like this in a few years. Just goes to show how good this lake still is when you remove all the tourney and vacation angler pressure.

Well I had a first today of sorts. I have had 100 plus fish days before but never in march. Well this morning I pull up on Da Hump and put 3 keepers plus a big white perch in the box and then go on to landed 32 dinks. Then I take off and go check a wind blown bank and instead of finding keepers. I find a gigantic school of dinks, I landed anouther 47 from that school. Go home and eat lunch and then get back on the water at 4 pm. Take off too a cove I wanted to work only to find yet another huge school of dinks. Went on too landed 26 from that school. So it's getting late and I head home but stop at the back from this morning and proceed to catch 3 more keepers back to back and 17 more dinks. So here is the totals Keepers-6 White perch-1 Dinks- 122 Total-129 fish today. It was a good day, a very good day. Everything was caught on a KVD 1.0 square bill crank.

Well decided to put some slack in the throttle and just relax this evening. Took dad to the hump for a lil fun fishing. He struck first with a 1 1/2 pound white perch on a trap. Then I went 3 for 3 on bass landing 2 14 1/8 inch large mouths and a 14 1/2 Kentucky. Then we got on a roll me and dad had probably 45 mints of back to back hook up's on 10 to 13 inch dinks on square bills. We lost some, we missed a ton too. But it was nice too relax and even more so since it was Sunday afternoon and the crowds were gone.

It gets bad here but this is the worse I have ever seen it. Think it's because the spawn started when the water was down and the water didn't come up till right when the tourny's started for the year. Thankfully they don't last long and the fishing is better after this month anyways.

Think I'm going to trailer the boat and park it till the end of March are till mid next month. The attitude of the people on the lake right now is so disgusting and their behavior is worse then a 3 year olds.

I think they are so far back trying to get away from the fishing pressure. Most of the females I caught yesterday had very lil to no eggs in them. One of them I could see her back in there and her back was almost out the water, I had to lay the boat against the brush, pull the trolling motor and lay down and pitch cast my frog up in there to get the bait to her. Had about a 2 foot wide by 1 foot high hole to cast through to get to her.

I did but it keep hanging up. They are back in the jungle.

You baw's just keep pitching plastics ? 1 to 1 1/2 foot of water. 2 of the 14 I landed this morning, had 5 throw the hook and missed like 7 more. I love me some 65 pound power pro but dang I'm wearing out all my hooks, even the thick wire style I'm useing now, I keep bending them on hookset. Just to give y'all an idea of how hard they are hitting that frog, normally I get as many as 4 fish to a frog, today it was one fish to one frog.

Biggest of the 27 I landed today. And nope I wasn't in San Miguel or blue lake/1215. Went hit a creek on the Texas side I haven't fished in probably 4 years. Sure glad I brought my chainsaw with me this morning. Once I had the 2 trees trimmed so I could pass, I got right down too burning them down.

Nope blue lake is a gar hole don't come here ? I'm glad most people and I'm talking 98% think the spawn is over by the last weekend of March.

That's why I'm not talking. San Miguel is over run with people right now. What few fish are on the banks look like they have PTSD.
