Well I live on the Sam Miguel finger of the lake and fish that area and the 1215 area. Only to boat ramps useable on this end right now. North Toledo state park and the ramp at Barbie campgrounds just before the lananna bridge. If you fish Sam Miguel are the 1215 area. I would work the creek mouths starting in the 3 to 5 foot range and work out to the 15 foot range of water. Even though the water is down they should still move up the creeks as Dar as they can. Follow the bait, the wind will drive the bait up against and into primary points off of the main channel and the bass will be along those points and around the creek mouths where the wind is blowing. In the 1215 area, look for any remaining grass, should still be some leavt, 3 to 10 foot of water. If there is grass the bass will be staged in it on the wind blow side ambushing the shad that gets blown up into it. Shallow square bill cranks, 1/4 once traps, spinnerbaits and swimbaits. This is my plan of attack tommorw.

What part of the lake? Give us some details on the area of the lake you want to fish and we can probably help get you on some. I'm coming off deercation at noon tommorw, going find some fat girls myself.

Figured that was you in front my house this morning in that ranger. Whoever it was must have them figured out, dude was laying it to them with what looked like a swimbait, right inside the first swing of the creek off the main creek channel infront my house.

Well yall get them figured out by mid January. I just came back from southwest Louisiana on a hunting trip and it was a blast. Layed down some deer and pork. Now I'm back watching the reports just waiting on mid January to get here so I can come off deercation.

It's the big pond. Ain't nothing typical on this lake. I can't count how many times I have meet guys fishing in late January and early February saying the fish they catching want slow fished plastics. And I'm over there banging them out with a ribbet frog and a swimbait lol.

There is a big cold front hitting here friday. Lots of rain and temps dropping into the low 30's at night. Day time high of mid 50's. Is what my weather app is showing me. Edit. Just updated cold front hitting Thursday. Showing freezing temps for Thursday night into Friday morning.

Hey no problem. That's what we here for. I would check out any deep water ledges next to the main channel first then move to shallow creeks and drains that have the wind pushing shad up into them.

Drive slow and keep your head on a swivel. Lots of stumps and a bunch if floaters on San Miguel right now.

The shad kill happens every year on the big pond. It's natural and a good thing. The bass really put the feed bag on when they find a good point to sit on under a shad kill.
