So Yall Want To Learn Toledo Bend?
Got the lil woman to bring it up on her Facebook thing, so I can say is that dude is a straight plug. I'm a hack average bass Fisher and I can catch a limit of bass on any day I want, so the fishing can't be that bad.

Everyone's PB
Wish I had a pic on my phone to share of my personal best but I dont. My PB came on a black and red flake ribbet frog in less then a foot of water in some lilly pads, not far from north Toledo Bend park, my scale said 10.67 so I took her in to get offically weighed, while waiting for the slotted amount of time in the tank she throw up two big bluegills. She offically weighed 9.14, since then I have caught and released 7 nine pound plus bass but none have broke the 9.14 YET.

uniknot on mono
Found the problem, thanks for the replays. Sting was older then I remembered, had to look back throw my logbook to see when I had spooled that reel up. Respooled bought more hooks and finished the day out with 29 landed between me and dad no big ones but lots of fun and a few for the pot.

uniknot on mono
I use the uniknot at all times with braid but never used it on mono before so thought I would ask if it would work. Knot I normally use with mono is just a regular old fisherman's knot. I do notice that the bass seem to inhale this bait when they bite and doing so I have to cut and retie very often due to their tooth ridge tearing up the line alot more then normally. The two breaks I had this morning were in the knot, not sure if the fish's teeth caused it to break there or not. Will stat tieing on with the uniknot on my mono and see how it goes. Also though about useing a thicker line as a leader to help with the line being scraped up as bad.

uniknot on mono
Ok got a question for the fourm experts. Will a uniknot work on mono fishing line? As some on here may know already I have been running a caffine swimin shad on a owner 5 size under spinner hook, and been doing super good with it but today i ran into a problem. I cut and retie bout every third fish or any fish over 4 pounds but today i had two diffrent bites both resulting in a line break at the knot. Both bits happened right after I had caught and retied. So should I start useing the uniknot like I do with my braided line or should I start using a leader of some sorts with this bait? The fish inhale this bait when I get a bite and their gums tear up my line really fast that's why I have been retieing so often.

Good bite/ idiots with boats
Hit a few good areas today with the caffine shad, landed 23 and keep 6. Got to tow two brand new ranger boats back to the dock because some idiots think you can run wide open when not in the boat lanes on the bend, one boat lost the lower unit from the motor and nobody was hurt. The second boat lost the lower unit and damaged the stern kind of bad guy was luck he didn't die all he got was a few bruises. Let this be a warning and a lesson to those coming to the Bend, if you ain't in a marked boat lane, keep the throttle turned down to IDLE.

Favourite Texas rigged soft plastic
TX-DELUX, I always use the lightest bullet weight I can get away with with the wind and the water depth. Either no weight or a 1/16, 1/8,3/16,1/4. Any heavyer weight then 1/4 and im throwing a crig or punching mats and im throwing a 3/4 on the crig and 3/4 to 1 once when punching mats. Always best to use as light a weight as conditions will allow.

Classic Pre-spawn ,spawn or post spawn?
Like Catt said, they missed read the scrip for the most part. Bass are in all stages of spawn at this point in time and will continue to be so till mid to late April. They come in waves and start at the top of the lake first.

Favourite Texas rigged soft plastic
Baby brush hog- watermelon red flake. And a bait made by the Cajun bait company, name and color I'm not ready to say because it is killer on the bend. Got to have a few secrets lol.

New to guns, looking for an AR
Practice, clean, practice, clean. Best thing to do is keep the bcg very wet with gun oil for bout the first 100 rounds, it helps smooth things out. After that clean it and just use a lil light lube on the friction parts of the bcg to keep it running good. Also if their is cash in the budget have the trigger worked or upgraded a lil. Resist all the bs about haveing to have the newest and fanciest add on junk, if your just going to do some light plinking at short ranges and home defense, good red dot sight and standard iron sights should do you fine. Added note load your mags to full capacity and let them sit loaded a few weeks to help set the springs in the mags it will help break them in and help reduce mag feed issues. Hope all this helps sir.

So Yall Want To Learn Toledo Bend?
Yes I have two Spro frogs a white one and a black one. I do fish them but normally only in mid summer around very thick grass mats but even then I don't seem to get as many bites as I do with the ribbet frog. To be honest if I feel I need a frog that floats and I can pop it along I just put on a top toad or popping toad made by stanely. Black and red flake when it's sunny and white and chartreuse feet when it's cloudy.

Schooling Bass Lead To ER Visit
I feel and know your pain did that last summer myself only it was my middle finger on my left hand. This is what I did after I cut the line and got the fish off the hook and cut the ring so the hook came off the bait. I tied on some heavy braid making a few tight wraps and knots then wrapped the line around a piece of dowl rod i keep in the boat, a quick sharp jerk and out pop's the hook. Then the blood went to running.

Caught my 104th Large mouth Today for 2017
100 fish day isn't that hard to do if your fishing in a lake that has the population for it to happen. Wish I could give a exact number on how many I have pulled out of Toledo Bend since Jan 1st, but I can't, I'm sure it's up around 400 by now. I've caught seven over 8 pounds so for this year and one over 9 but still havent broke my PB of 9.14

So Yall Want To Learn Toledo Bend?
Same for me on SAN Miguel bass been super shallow for lil over a week, like less then a foot of water. Had my limit of keepers in a hour this morning fishing caffine shad swim baits on a sand bar not for from the house bass were holding up in a foot are less of water on the sand bar running bait fish that were drivin up on the sand bar by the wind. Then leavt and went it a peice of shoreline that has some flooded buck brush that hasn't produced a fish in two weeks pulled up and in twenty mints had six bass landed that were 4 to 6.4 pounds all on the frog, everyone of those fish were super heavy with eggs but didn't show any signs of had been making beds.
