  1. If you read the whole article it is pointing out that the Gitzit tube was designed for dropshotting but the further down it explains how tubes are used to bounce off the bottom etc.
  2. I recently purchased a set of Carlisle tires. So far, so good. They are rated very highly on Consumer reports. My last set of GY Marathons bulged out and I was lucky not to have a blowout. There was a huge story recently about GY marathons and blowouts. I believe they were tires manufactured out of the country. Search the site here. There has been multiple tire discussions about this very thing
  3. Just remember Hard work beats Talent when Talent doesn't work hard..........
  4. Contact the local DNR to check for regulations as well Also, one of the best ways to stock cheaply is to transfer fish from one pond to another. Grab a 5gal bucket and go at it. Sooner or later the birds will stock it for you in some fashion. As stated, bass are not cheap to stock. Those can be transferred if you have the means to do it. I would stay away from pike. They can compete heavily with the bass as the dominant predator in the lake and may affect growth rates of bass. just my .02
  5. With the huge number of responses already I feel I am late for the party. However, I would be more that happy to assist with any venture assosiated with BR. It would be an honor to be a part of it in any fashion.
  6. Jackas 3D = Beehive Tether Ball. Hilarious
  7. Actually, I have never had the clear???? Hmmmm might need to be sampled
  8. Or you could just call Yogi and BooBoo
  9. I have had one for a few years and absolutely love it. However, they are not without faults. - If you are using them in steady winds they lose their effectiveness quickly (however, steady winds usually decreases bugs anyhow) - I also use them for bowhunting and have wondered if the scent alerts deer to my position If you are looking for something to use while sitting on a deck, boat, bank, or tree in minimal winds they are FANTASTIC! Also, they have them at BPS with a $5 mail in rebate essentially making them around $14
  10. Dont want to steal the thread but: Does running higher octane gas in an older motor like a 96 and older make a difference in performance and or carb fouling?
  11. Bassboats do have a bathroom for the ladies, its called the livewell...... My wife has mastered the technique...
  12. Fishing related: BTS - thought it was another gimmick polish until I applied it to my boat. Will never use another product Bass Resource.com - Never imagined that it would change the way I fish and it has far exceeded my expectations of what a fishing forum should be like... (The items should actually be switched in position as I never would have found one without the other.....)
  13. I would return it to BPS. Their customer service is usually very easy to deal with and should allow you to return or replace the item. I have heard someone else describe your exact situation once before. However, their vest was sitting in the backseat of their truck and the extreme heat triggered it.
  14. You can smoke them out and then remove the hive. Depending on where you are located it may be best to just wait until it cools down in the fall/winter and then remove it. That is a BIG Hive...
  15. Look at it this way, its better than Ants in your Pants........ Sorry, bad, I know, but I had to do it
  16. Every angler here has horror stories. Most are funny now, but when it happens you almost crawl out of your skin at how inconsiderate, stupid, and just plain clueless most people are
  17. awesome!!!!!!
  18. For some reason I still cannot upload pics since the format change or I would post pics, sorry
  19. Just got back from Patoka. Fishing was tough. Water temps in the 90-93 range. My wife boated a HAWG! 6.7lbs on a senko. Son caught a fish in the mid 3lb range. other than that all fish were small in the 1-12in range. We only boated about four fish a day and those were the only good fish. Patoka seems to have changed dramatically since I fished it ten years ago. It is not the bass lake it once was. IMO, this is due to the introduction of the striper. Bass are no longer the apex predator in the lake and the fishery has suffered. Don't get me wrong, there are good fish but not as much quantity of quality fish. There seems to be Large fish and small fish but not as many 14-17 inch fish. Patoka still has a slot limit in place so these size differences don't make much sense.
  20. Must have been a rare coincidence. Everyone knows you can't catch fish on an Ika..........
  21. All reasons I also do NOT hit the lakes on the weekends unless very early or very late. People are idiots................
  22. BTS.............................. problem solved
  23. I once was paired with the guy who invented PostIt notes.... He was a good fishing partner but kept trying to stick post its on all the fish to see if they would stick, I just thought it was weird... Psyche!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  24. Hey everyone, I live in Lebanon, Oh. and just moved back from Michigan in Feb I fish any lake I can get my boat into.
