  1. Hi and welcome to the site. You will find all the information you need here regarding fishing. Remember, if you have a question run a search for the topic first. Also, check out the member map and add yourself to it As for your question about the LM, it is one of the best smallmouth rivers in the state. There are some great pools from Loveland up to Morrow.
  2. Unfortunately due to travel baseball I have not had much time. However, I have done fairly well the few times out at my local home lake. I have been out to Ceasars once and boated 1 dink in 2 hours of fishing. Heading to Indiana this weekend to fish Patoka lake. I will definately post results. We used to fish this lake 10 years ago and it wasn't uncommon for 75 fish days. However, I have fished two year end NBAA tournaments there in the last few years and the lake seems to have taken a downward spiral in terms of the largemouth population since the introduction of the stripers.
  3. Gonna try that first. The original owner, it appears, greased it with what looks like White lithium grease so I will try to lube it with the proper product as a starting point

Sorry guys but she was a habitual drug user. Why do we continually celebrate the drug addicts, users, pushers??? IMO, she was a wasted talent. Who cares, my prayers go out to her family but I have no feelings one way or the other toward her. She did it to herself, there will be another one just like her soon enough
  5. No, no leak, no drips that I can find or have seen. Could the piston just need to be lubed?
  6. I have a 96 Johnson 150 and after my last trip I went to unhook the motor from the Jack brace after getting home and the motor was really jerky and hopped until all the way down while lowering it??? It raised up fine but every time I lower it the motor hops and jerks. Could the fluid be low? I have never encountered this issue before. If the fluid is low can I use any transmission oil? Next, how do I fill it? There is a small plastic screw cap on the right side under the motor with what looks like a resorvoir. Thanks for the help guys
  7. Nice Job Chris!!! That color works well with the truck. I actually like the color of the truck and think the camo accent looks great! BTW I like the rims too, nice touch
  8. Can't help you on Cave Run, sorry However, coming from Michigan I can tell you that I have lost hundreds of $$$$ in lures to the toothy critters. They will not ALWAYS cut your line but your percentages are highly increased. Musky and Pike will hit everything a bass will hit. They make ver flexible wire leaders and you can get them at BPS in Cincy. Far right side of fishing department, first or second aisle by the right corner near the lure making accessories. Good luck and post your results.
  9. The fact that you are thinking about saving now will fair you well young man. If I had been smart enough to listen to everyone when I was 20 years old and was being told to put money into a mutual fund, IRA, 401k etc, I would be sitting on a few hundred K by now. Unfortunately, now I am in my later thirties and wondering what the hell I am going to do for retirement. You can't rely on the Government to help you out. The only person who you can rely on is YOU. Put the money away......
  10. You can tell the heat of the summer is here. :_
  11. Gas Mileage be damned!!!!! Go big or go home. That truck looks fantastic!!!
  12. Nice Smallies!!!! That last one is a hog
  13. No not yet. I actually went on a Little Miami River trip instead. Excellent river to wade or take a kayak/canoe. Fishing for SMB is fantastic. landed a few pushing 3.5 lbs. For a small river, that is a good quality fish. I go on Vacation starting July 30. Will probably be headed that way then. I will be in the silver and Black/Red Stratos
  14. Cavitron Buzzbait......... Only one in my box And who hasnt spilled megastrike on their boat carpet before...... Its like a right of passage. Like getting jumped into a gang, like having to stick your tongue on a cold flagpole. I quote the immortal Flick from Christmas Story "Cmon, Don't leave me!!! Stuck, STTTTUUCKK "
  15. I am not sure if it is technically a grub but you can't mention SMB and not bring up a Fat Ika.. Technically, I guess its a grub family member
  16. What lake are you fishing? I would take the advice of everyone posting and add that you should try to drop shot an "Aarons Magic" roboworm on a 1/8 to 1/4 ounce weight. This tactic works Extremely well on N Michigan smallies at some of the most gin clear lakes I have ever seen. Good Luck
  17. I have a 96 Johnson 150 on the back of my 18ft Stratos. I filled up the tank once (35gal) ran five miles at WOT on the GPS. Filled the tank back up and did the math which almost brought a tear to my eye, a wopping 2.9mpg. Thankfully, most of the lakes I fish are 2000 acres or less. If you are looking to save gas money with a boat motor, get an extra paddle
  18. Kelly I lived in Mi. for 16 years, where is Fennville?
  19. BAIT MONKEY NO LIKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Gophers invasive????????? Were they brought in by???????? Golfers??
  21. If the engine checks out, and money portion checked out, I would jump. That upholstrey looks great and that bench seat will be the best nap you ever take on the water. I would also check the tires and bearings if you buy it. A boat sitting that long may have some dry rot and need new tires. Good Luck
  22. Yep, its called BTS..... Works wonders and is the only thing I use on my boat. Where abouts in Michigan are you located?
  23. Since moving to Cincinnati I am looking to head up to fish Erie for some Bronzies. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I am not looking for waypoints or honey holes. I am more interested in the safest route, best place to launch, and a general direction on where to find fish. I was thinking of launching around Sandusky? We will be fishing out of my 18ft Stratos bass boat. I respect the big water so safety is my main concern. I'm not versed in any Erie fishing so any help is great. Is the fishing in the bay decent? What about around Put-in-Bay islands? thanks for the feedback guys
  24. WOW!!!!!!!! I wonder if his nickname was "tiny"
