Save your money and read BR. There is more information here than any magazine. If you are set on those two here is my advice: I have been getting both for over ten years and neither are consistently fishing specific. They cover everything outdoors anymore. Hell, Outdoor Life just had an article about Zombie guns for gamers (no lie). FS is a better read IMO but I get all my fishing needs right here at BR.

This may be an odd question for some but how long can you leave your motor running on muffs? I can't imagine leaving the motor running for an extended period of time would be good for it but then again it is getting water so overheating shouldn't be an issue is it?

You know I thought the flying lure was junk as well, but, come to think of it, the flying lure exibits almost exactly the same characteristics as my favorite smallie bait, THE FAT IKA.. hmmmmmmmm Maybe it was more of a confidence thing, and the fact that you could bend the hooks with your hand. RW whats your take on this thought?????

After losing the keys last year at the ramp (in the lake) I took Jack's advice. My keys will never leave the ignition. I also zip tied a set under the console and in the truck just in case. I will never be stuck at the ramp before a tourney because of a lost set of keys again........

I can't take any more talk about the roadtrip. I feel like the little kid who has to stay home from vacation cause he has the chicken pox while the entire family goes to Disney. Oh well, maybe next year. I can't wait for the pics and stories

Actually, I agree with Jack. If the person is a standup person you should have no issues. Unfortunately, in my experience most people are not. I hope all works out for ya. Good luck.

I am going to get railed for this comment but: If you take a look at many of the behavioural and drug problems with kids today it all stems from lack of or no parental supervision. Both parents work, or single family homes where the children are left to fend for themselves until the parent(s) get home. NO supervision = No discipline and No ethical, moral teachings = drugs, teen pregnancy, crime etc. I would have gotten the S^$* beat outta me for some of the stuff that goes on now.

Went out one morning to test a repair on my motor. I forgot that I had removed the prop on my trolling motor to replace it. Actually, didn't think I'd need it. Got about 2 miles from the ramp and OH BY THE WAY, forgot that I hadn't put gas in the boat either. So, two miles from ramp with no trolling motor and no gas. Rowing an 18 ft bass boat is NOT FUN... I Got about 500 yards from the ramp and realized it would have been a much easier row if I had raised the motor out of the water to create less drag. What an idiot......

Awesome hockey was played Sunday, Period. It was rival Sunday: Czech vs Russia, Sweeds vs Norway, USA vs. Canada IMO the Russian team has the most talent but the way the pairings are set up now because of the U.S. win against Canada it has given the U.S. a window to be playing for gold on Sunday. Canada will have to play Russia or Sweeden or possibly both. We have a very good chance.......

I am ALWAYS skeptical of any infomercial workout product. That being said, P90x is THE hardest workout I have ever done. More intense than any workout I have had in high school or college sports training. YOU WILL BE HURTING!!!

I am not one to turn down a frosted beverage usually, however, I never drink while on the water. I also do not drink when playing golf either. For me, as soon as I drink one my golf game goes to heck. Plus, I have been on the water when a storm kicks up and having all senses working can be a life saver

As long as the boat floats and doesn't sit on top of the ice its time to go fishing in Michigan. I don't know about the rest of you but my itch needs to be scratched (figuratively speaking) Already have a smallie trip planned for LSC in spring and counting down the days
