New project boat
Some people have used Duraliner or Rhino liner very successfully on the trailer. It eliminates rusting and gives you slip resistance for lauching etc. I am going to coat the inside of my wheel wells with it this winter.

I always wanted to live on a lake, just not like this
That is terrible. I feel for your neighbors. That looks like a new sub. Good luck

GYCB baits
This year these baits have been my top producer. However, the only downside is that GYBC are only good for a fish or two before tearing. I need to invest in Mend it......

Ever tagged a fish with a paper hole punch?
Cart is correct. BPS (at least here in Detroit) carries a tagging system. I would assume that Gander mountain, Cabelas would also. If not, you can purchase them at this site: fishtagger.com If this is a public lake you may want to check with the local DNR

How much Gas??
Just curious: Do you all fill up your boat tanks regularly or only put in enough for the trip your on? Personnaly, I only put in about 5-10 gallons at a time. My boat has a 35gal tank. Most of my outings are on lakes less than 1200acres and gas is heavy when towing.

Unwelcome House Guest
Actually, judging by the picture that is NOT a Black Widow. I believe the technical name for that spider is the (forgive me for the spelling) Mallus Scragallus. It is a copy cat spider. They are not poisonous but are colored to look like a black widow. if you will notice on the abdomen the reddish area is not an hourglass shape which is exclusive to black widows. Many insects, snakes, moths etc have copycat markings to make them seem like their poisonous relatives. It is a defense mechanism. You can still smash them if the give you the creeps though

The do's and donts of boat launching
And lets not forget about the "guy" who makes his wife back the boat down the ramp and then SCREAMS at her from the boat..... I want to deck "that" guy every time I see one.

Sentry vs. Stabil
I used to use StaBil marine until I read some posts here regarding SeaFoam. It is the only thing in my boat, mower, ATV etc. Now I love this forum... Thanks again everyone

Boat seems to ride low in the water
I have a friend that can help. Her name is Jenny Craig, she helped Oprah..... Seriously, when in the water on a calm day if you turn on the bilge are you pumping any water? If so, you may have bigger issues.

Boat Trailer tire brands
Not to get too far off topic but Glenn's comment made me think of another question. Do you recommend a regular tire jack for your trailer or what about those rounded trailer jacks I have seen advertised?
-
Boat Trailer tire brands
Sorry Glenn The trailer is a 96. The tires were replaced in 02 I believe by the previous owner. I looked on the Carlisles website and at Discount tire they install, mount, balance, etc. out the door for $184. Not bad

Ram mount mounting questions
Stainless bolts and nuts just long enough and wide enough to fit in the holes.

Why did I find BR.com on facebook?
You have to be Glenns Friend....................... LMAO

Color Selector

Boat Trailer tire brands
I am looking at replacing the tires on my trailer. It is a 96 Stratos Trail and has Goodyear Marathon 205/70R14s. I have read on numerous boards that these tires are garbage. I haven't had any issues with them so far (knock on wood) but they are getting a little worn. What brands do you all recommend? i haven't seen a whole lot of trailer tires from the usual brands. My longest trail has been about 400 miles round trip and most are less than 100 miles RT.

UFC fans....how will Kimbo do in this season's Ultimate Fighter??
I hope I am not bursting bubbles but I think I saw a preview and he gets dropped in the first round. Hopefully, I was mistaken with what I saw. Those guys all looked to be a wreck cardio wise. That first fight both fighters were gassed a minute into the fight.

The do's and donts of boat launching
I would say 5 minutes is the maximum time by myself, that may be pushing it. The fisherman are not the ones who are to blame most of the time. Its JOHN Q weekender. You want a comedy? Get a six pack, a folding chair, and prop yourself up at the launch on a weekend. It is a comedy of errors...... It solidifies my theory that Stupid people should not breed..

Patrick Swayze
Heck, I almost forgot one of my favorite movies of all time. He was one of the main characters. RED DAWN I heard they are doing a remake of that movie and are filming it in Michigan.
