Bargains: Banjo Minnows Rocket fishing rods Pocket fisherman STOP, STOP, sTOP....... I cant continue..... LMAO!!!! I know I know I'm going to
  3. KROIKE mate!!!! Wheres Steve Irwin when you need him? When I was young we used to throw golf balls at them for fun. Thinking back, that was D.U.M.B
  4. Nice job Birdy Good to see the LM is still producing. I hope you followed up the trip with that Skyline I was craving. Did you take any pics?
  5. My wife complains that I treat my boat better than her most of the time. My reply is that my boat doesn't complain, always wants to go fishing when I do, lets me shoot it out of the hole, and likes to be tied up on the dock. My boat completes me......... :
  6. Count me in for sure. Better add a bottle of Mend it for the soft plastics... ;D
  7. Actually, long lake in Hale. Just off 65. Don't be afraid to look me up when you come home. I am always looking for an excuse to get the boat wet....
  8. Bassnub Where about in Mi. are you located? Thanks for the comments folks. It was definately a gooood time. And the beer was cold every evening....
  9. I just had the power pack replaced on my Johnson for the same issue. Motor would run fine and then under load just die. It would then run rough. The Power pack for my 150 was $285. With labor etc it came to $391 from the shop. I might add that it runs like a top now though.
  10. My 9 yr olds PB 4.3lbs caught on an ultra light dropshot rig with 6lb line. Northern Michigans Lake Avalon. 9 minutes until it was in the boat.
  11. I ask the question: Are you a BPS or a Cabelas person? This seems to be as polar as Ford and Chevy. Coke and Pepsi. Myself, I guess if I have to choose I would go with BPS. Cabelas is more expensive IMO. (as I type this I am looking right at a Cabelas ad... LMAO )
  12. For the women who fish in my boat that is what the second live well is for.... I had my sister in law convinced that it was a marine port a potty. God is she dumb..
  13. I was just looking at my boating gear after vacation and found a plastic emergency prop. It came with the boat along with two stainless props when I purchased it. I had forgotten about it. Anyone have one or have info on them? I seem to remember being told that you shouldn't use it at speeds exceeding 20mph? Better than getting stranded for sure..... I keep it in the back of the boat by the gas tank and batteries. I had just forgotten it was there.
  14. Just got back from a week of fishin Northern Mi. lakes. I fished Lake Avalon, Rifle, George, Long Lake and Loon lakes. Fishing was fantastic but the real treat was being on the water with my favorite fishing partner, my 9 yr old son. Little ba#$#@ outfished me 12-5 Saturday using dropshots and landed this nice 4.3lber. It was his first Smallmouth on a dropshot using an ultra light spinning outfit and 6lb line. what a way to get introduced to smallies!!!!!!
  15. No drinkin in my boat. Thats for the Dock when you pull in after a good day fishin. Too many idiots to be impaired on the water......
  16. That was the even worse part. I was the only boat on the lake. When I was 50ft from the dock another boat was putting in. it wasn't even worth calling them at that point, I had come sooooo far...
  17. So I get my boat back from the shop where they supposedly fixed my stalling motor by replacing the Power Pack. Thinking I was coming right home I pulled off my trolling motor prop to install a new one. Well, wanting to check their work I decide to take it for a lake test. Boat seems to run fine, isn't stalling under load like before, great. About 1/2 mile from the ramp the motor dies.... OH *(^%&*!!!! outta gas. And, the trolling motor is also useless cause my dumb *## took the prop off. Let me tell you that rowing an 18 ft bass boat into the wind just plain SUCKS.. Man am I sore now. Wont' Do THAT AGAIN
  18. You had me at "I will not accept money" Seriously, I will be on vacation next week but may be up north. In the spring I took a great guide out and he gave me some great spots. All were between 9mile and 15 mile roads. Pm me and I will see if I cant get you some waypoints for some weed beds. I am certainly no guide but it may help.
  19. Local BPS has a model on sale for $129.00 Its a 4 inch screen with 50ft of cord. I believe its the low end version of the Aqua View. Anybody have any opinions on these or experience? I have always been curious about these but cost is $$$$$$$ I would think that they wouldn't be very effective on murky H20. Or, is it cheating????
  20. Been having similar issues with my 150 Johnson. See Sickly Johnson posts. The shop hooked to the Dyno, changed the filter, and are now telling me it was the power pack. I pick it up today so I will let you know if was corrected. Similar issue though. Engine just died while under load. So far, I'm at $522.00 > Good Luck
  21. The other question I have is: If I could have diagnosed this myself ( which I certainly could NOT) Is this something I could change relatively easily myself?
  22. Shop just called me with the diagnosis for my motor. As you may recall it was dying under load. She would just quit when hitting the throttle. They changed out the Power Pack. Now, I haven't driven it yet but they tell me its fixed. for $351 What function does the Power Pack serve?
  23. Some other issues that can contribute to low speed is amount of gear in the boat, and Operator weight. I have a 18 ft stratos with a 150 and it tops out at 63 running 5500 RPMs. Maybe a diet is in order
