  1. I have a '97 Bassmaster 15 foot fiberglass boat with 100 hp evinrude. Is there anybody out there running a similar rig? If so could you tell me your prop size? Need a new prop and I'd like to know if I need replace or upgrade. mine has a 13 1/4 x 17
  2. Minnekotas you can play with the prop size if a 55 lb is too fast. But if you get the smaller motor it might be under powered for a larger boat. I have a 40lb on my v-bottom and in higher wind it is not enough motor. If I were to buy another one it would be a 55. Another good mod. for it is to get a foot switch for it. Easy to wire and you have instant control of your power.
  3. I keep the other 9 in reserve so I don't get an overuse injury.
  4. I sincerly hope he doesn't get flushed.
  5. Rosie would stop any activity without a doubt.
  6. A 55 should be enough motor I would go with the 36 inch if you get the longer one you would just hafta reach up for the tiller for shallow running.
  7. I'd hafta agree with cart, it is a horrible time of the year to sell a boat. I have a v-bottom I can't get anybody serious about.
  8. Bad day is the day you don't get to the lake.

Each angler should decide his/or her weapon of choice there are many choices and it can be a daunting task to figure out what gear to choose. I have one rodand reel that is balanced well and is a comfotable weight for extended time angling. I have others which I someday hope will break because they are too heavy, too long, or just wear me out. My favorite rod gets the bulk of the fishing while others I use for specialized try this baits. Through my mistakes the next rod I buy I will take the reel to the store with me and find the rod that will balance just right with the reel. A well balanced unit will in my oinion help with the "feel" of the fish striking and help me fish longer. By the balance of the rod i determin this by having the reel mounted I hold the rod where I would normally and it should sit in my hand without riding up or falling down.
  10. I go early in the morning and late in the afternoon. I also concentrate on shady areas, brush , grass and anything else a bass can hide under for a little relief from the hot sun. In stained water you need a darker lure and any sound it can make is a plus. I have had much success with Zoom Brushogs in stained water, more so than with cranks, spinners and any other discipline.

Muddy I'm disagreeing with you for not formulating a disagreeable opinion.
  12. I think Glenn and the mods do a great job. This is a respectful place to ask questions and learn new things. I don't think that is an accident. In religion and politics somebody is always doing something wrong glad to see it aint a topic here. And i disagree with those who disagree.

I'm right proud of my cheap berkely cherrywood rod it catches fish because I make it catch 'em.
  14. you can put a trolling motor on that one. sposed to be unsinkable, standupable, and untipable.
  15. Can't wait to try it myself. Brushogs have always been a top producer where I fish maybe this will give a new push to get them big fish.
  16. I saw it right after I posted mine. Awesome thread you answered my question before I asked it. Psychic maybe? ;D
  17. I just found something on the internet that looks kinda cool. Its called a nucanoe sposed to be unsinkable.

  20. Just got my kreatures in anybody know what the best size hook is for these gems.
  21. I believe she was over 5 but not close to 7 lbs. My PB is 6 lbs 15 oz so she wasn't close. She was just shy of the distance from the bottom of my shoe to the top of my knee which is approximately 23 inches so she was about 22 inches long but she didn't have a good pot belly. It's been a bad year for me. I had yet to catch one over 5 this year. Work has not allowed me to have many days on the water. At least that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. Priorities have to be in order Senile.
