Repairing A Cover
I am generally really good about getting water of my cover when it rains, but I was out of town this weekend and the weight of the water caused my tm blade to poke through it. Would it be a better idea to sew it, or use a glue like liquid thread?

Morganza Snake

Hand Again....
I am glad your hand is better. You must have tiger blood and adonis DNA if you go from needing a cast on Thursday to all healed up on Monday. We should all be so lucky.

Hand Again....
I understand being young and not thinking of the future. You are willing to risk your future health for one tournament. You need to focus on the bigger picture. You are asking for a way to stabilize your hand so you can fish more comfortably. Your body is trying to tell you something with that pain. If you fish and cause yourself further damage then you will have no one else to blame but yourself. You need to listen to the doctor, put the cast on, let it heal and be back to full health. I promise you that the fish will still be there and you will be able to catch them later. Simply the risk of further injuring yourself is not worth it.

Flood
My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone in the flooded areas. It seems that this is an all too ofter occurance and that it will continue to happen until some further measures are taken. Sad indeed that some people have been back in there houses for less than a year from the previous flood only to have this happen again.

Need Tips For High Rock Lake Nc
I have heard some recent reports that the fish are in the back of coves off secondary creeks. Jigs and creature baits have been working well. Find the shadiest areas that you can in the coves. Not all the fish have spawned out yet so there are a few still on beds.

They only do this for a month or so out of the year. So I am sure they have other sources of income.

? About My Lowrance Mark 5
I just turned it on and checked the settings, it was set to 20ft depth. If the water is deeper could it cause it to do that. The transducer is set up parallel to the bracket. I know it was deeper than what it was reading. I also let my son tube some behind the boat and he fell out and couldn't touch bottom and he is 6'1 and the unit was giving a 1.5 foot reading.

? About My Lowrance Mark 5
I took my boat out for the first time and was getting weird readings from the depth sounder on my unit. It was reading accurate depths at the ramp and in the cove by the ramp, but once I started leaving it was contiuosly give shallow depth alarm and the water was way deeper than what it was reading at 1.5-2 ft. I was wondering is this a setting that I need to adjust or is it something more?

Anyone Watch "swamp People?"
I was just glad the man got his dog back. I watched the chain of episodes last night. I guess being from the south I can relate somewhat.

Trollinmotor Help!!!!
I would start with the switch, look at that. I believe those motors were simple parallel that used rheostats. Just a suggestion. If you just "had" it rebuilt I would take it back to the person that did it and have them make it right.

A Few Firsts For Me.
Finally after owning my new to me boat for two months I was able to take it out on its maiden voyage with me for some fun and fishing. This would be the first time also that I have ever fished Lake Norman. I decided on Norman because of the reports lately that the fishing was on fire. They did not lie. While I only caught a few fish it was definately another first for me because I actually landed some spotted bass. Man these things fight like they are twice the weight that they actually are. I was using a weightless super fluke in albino color and they all hit it on the initial drop and when I say they hit, the absolutely crushed it. I had an awesome day out with the family as well. I probably only fished for an hour but it was awesome. They are right when they say that if you cant catch a fish at Norman now that you need to sell your gear. Here is the photo of the largest one I would say 1.5- 2 pounds. Not a monster but he fought like one. Here is another of little man relaxing.

The Lure Swap to set the record straight.
When I got the box from Capt O. the three yellow sleeves with the hard baits were in there. One had actually came out during shipping so I put it back in there. I didn't take them. I also thought that I put some pretty good stuff in the box. A pointer a mega bass pop x, and yes I did put some plastics, but I didn't know that plastics were not allowed. I am not going to complain about what I got, because if I didn't want anything or if I didn't want to place anything, I just would have stated that and sent it on down the road.

Nice Day

Tied my pb today at a local park pond
Kids got out of school early and I finally had a day off. Head to school and my 5 year old is begging to go. Load up and head out. Andrew wanted to try for a catfish so I rigged him up with some power bait bites. Rig myself up with a baby brush hog on a spot remover jig. Start walking the bank making casts and I catch a nice 2 pounder. Let him go a few cast later I catch a 3 pounder. A little later I make a cast and feel I am out of the zone so I burn it back and then I see her following it in. I quickly flip it back out let it settle and pop it and she inhales it. I am stoked this fish looked huge. I was thinking she was 6 + pounds . Put her on the scale and she was 5 even. So I tied my pb bass. I went to take a photo of her with my son holding her but my battery is too low on my phone. CRAP! Oh well next time I will make sure it's good and charged. Total for the day was 7 bass. Best 5 went 13 pounds and the fish are almost on the beds.

Now that Duke lost.....
I've been away from that area for almost a year now. My sister went to ECU and that is one crazy school.
