Landlocked Atlantic Salmon

Featured Replies

Hey all. I have a few lakes up here in NJ that are stocked with Atlantic Salmon. I managed to catch one early last year on a crank. But besides that it has beem slow going. Any suggestions as far as bait/ technique that could help? The lake I fish for them has 3 seperate "bowels" with the max depth of each being around 110 feet. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Trolling with sewed on smelts or shiners should do well, troll around schools of bait fish. Good luck. You could also try trolling streamer flys but I don't know a whole lot about that so I don't want to direct you the wrong way with that.

I was going to say drifting/trolling sawbellies or other bait.

If you catch any, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE post pics. :)
