Best Braid Size For Top Water/spinnerbaits

Featured Replies

Hey guys. I have a 7 foot rod that I use for spinnerbaits and top water. I'm switching from mono to braid but I'm not 100% sure what size braid I should put on there. I won't be using this rod for heavy duty use in the muck, mostly spinnerbaits, buzz baits, jigs and the occasional frog here and there. Thanks guys.

40-50 lb should be fine.

Agreed. 50 is a good, manageable size.
