Another swimbait thread..

Featured Replies

Yes I know there is one right underneath me, but I have some more questions. I've never thrown one. And really never thought about it until reading some of these threads. Am I missing out on something? 80% of all my fishing is done with a crankbait. I'm a firm believer that a certain size, speed, wiggle, color, and presentation of a crankbait can consistently catch bass 365 days a year. But what kind of conditions make these swimbaits a good choice? I fish lakes throughout Kentucky and remember reading articles about the swimbait starting as a West coast deal and working its way east. Is there something to be gained with swimbaits in the upper south east? Just looking for ideas on conditions, seasons, and presentations that are best for swimbaits.
