Just wondering if anyone else has trouble with different seasons clashing. I was supposed to go fishing today but realized I havent checked my trail cam in 2 weeks so I pretty much had to do that. And the only time of year I find my self not fishing at all is during deer bow season. And this spring I was kinda ticked because it was the least fishing Ive ever done because I started turkey hunting for the first time (at least I got a bird though unlike my first deer season.) Just wondering if other people run into this issue and have decided to drop one sport to chase another more.

Yep, I hardly fish at all anymore, unless we go out jugging for cats for a fish fry. In Eastern NC we can hunt September-February, then we have a month of Spring turkey season. The other months, frog gigging takes up my fishing time. But, I eat good!

Yup. Coon and squirrel season runs with deer season here.

I will turn down hunting before I turn down fishing. Luckily for me though in NY when hunting season opens fishing is usually pretty much done I don't bow hunt anymore so I don't get to the woods till late November. Any small game I do I do while fishing early on in the hunting season. After dinner the hounds get released and its all about the coyotes, fox, and coons which i enjoy more then deer but by the time im out chasing predators we have ice on the water and coyote ends March 25th usually so it ends just in time for ice out and the earliest smallmouth making there way into the tribs.

ill toss down my rod to go bowhunting in the fall.. actually sometimes i'll bring my fly rod with me and in the afternoon hike over the mountain to a brookie stream.
