First Order of JJ's

So my first order of JJ's Magic came in today. I could smell the stuff before I even opened up the package.  Good lord.  Got a bottle of Chart and clear.  I didn't see a need for blue and methyalate, although I may add those soon.  Ordered it on Wednesday, and it got here today.  Naturally the wind started blowing like 30, hopefully that'll die down as the sun starts to go down so I can actually try this stuff out tonight.

The only problem is that I'm trying to think of how I can prank the guys in my shop with this smelly junk....

If you go back to the website and "cue" your order for 4 bottles(regardless of the color) youll notice the cost of shipping is the same. So if you buy four bottles the shipping is the same as if you buy 1 bottle. Saves you a little $ when you buy 4.

Yeah I saw that.  I probably should have just ordered the 4 pack.  But I didn't really "need" to get another two bottles in colors I didn't see myself using.  I almost regret not getting them now though.

ya i ordered two bottles also, only thing i didnt not like about the ordering was you werent really reward for buying more then 1.  sometimes you can get items slightly cheaper by buying 2 or more.  i dont consider the shipping as the saving money because that should be done anyway lol.

You could have just purchased a 4 pack of the same color. Or gone and done 2 and 2

Oh I understand that.  I don't get out all that often.  I fish daily, but generally thats only for an hour or two.  I usually get in one to three really good trips in a month.  I just can't see myself using THAT much dye.  But hey, if I start loading up on fish with it, then I'll be kicking myself in the butt for not having more of it.

Yes the clear is just a Garlic, and it doesnt dye your baits.

Im not much of a "color" guy myself. Last year I purchased 4 bottles of the different colors available. I only used them for maybe a week. Then the rains came and I pretty much gave up my fishing for the year.

Recently I went into my "fishing" rig/vehicle and opened the cooler I had the JJ's stored in. The stuff all dried up. The jars still reeked of garlic, but there was only a slimy sticky goo at the bottom of the jars.

Looks like I need to resupply.

How did they dry up? I've had several bottles in a drawer in my garage for a couple of years now and they are still full.

My Fishin rig/vehicle is a 1980 Ford Van,I haul a 10'Jon Boat on the inside,it "Just" fits.

Anyhow,I had the JJ's in a small plastic box,and the box was inside the cooler. The cooler was sitting on the front seat of the van. Remember I live in Southern Arizona,so im guessing the inside of the van got nice and hot.

Ive noticed when I use JJ's on the water when im fishing,if any heat gets to the bottle and I dip my bait in it,the JJ's bubbles up like its boiling.

Its obvious JJ's doesnt like heat.

Think JJ's would ship me some new stuff if I told em about this stuff drying up?

Keep the JJ's out of the heat..get a small iigloo cooler with some blue ice paks..I have no problems with mine drying up, not do I let it heat to point where it "bubbles".. :D

I would tell them and see what they say it wont hurt to try.

Very true, never hurts to try,and I would VERY Gladly purchase new products if the answer was "NO"

This is a bit of an overstatement, but treat that stuff like it's nitro.  As said before, keep it out of the heat and when you do open it, open slowly; they will build pressure when it's hot out.  Keep it out of the house if you can and do your best not to get any on your clothes.  My roomate on the Road Trip last year spilled it in his tackle bag and then brought it into the room.  Not good.

I love my clear and red.

I like the clear a lot.  I have a lot more confidence in the jig I'm throwing after dipping it in JJ's.  The stuff just works.

Pitch a JJ's soaked jig into a laydown and just let it sit there.  Be ready to set the hook.
