Socal Camping/fishing Trip

Featured Replies

planning a family trip two weeks from now...hoping to camp on the lake..just wondering which lake was my best option for novice fishermen w/ no boat...Castaic, Piru, Pyramid, Perris are within my range..appreciate the help

Lake Skinner (temecual area) has a great family campground by the lake...Check out their website...Also has rental boats

Skinner would be my first choice. Very nice up there.

Silverwood is nice this time of year after the summer crowds have gone away (profile pic is at Silverwood)

If you camp at Skinner you will also be close enough to fish DVL (Diamond Valley Lake) if your willing to drive a little. Here is a website with recent fishing reports of SoCal, hope this helps.
