I started fishing a kentucky wildlife management area midsummer last year.  These are reclaimed strip pit from peabody coal mines in western kentucky. These pits are leased to the ky wildlife management. They have been stocked with large bass for several years. Most of them are very clear and run anywhere from 60 to 90 feet deep.  Grass about 15 ft out from the bank. Islands and rocks scattered thru out the lakes. Structure galore, looks like a bass heaven.  I caught several 2 to 3 lbers out of the lakes, but having a hard time catching the biguns!  They are there, just can't seem to get them. Hoping to burn them up this spring. Has anyone fished these lakes?
