Fighting Frog From Big Bite Baits

Featured Replies

Anyone ever use them with success? Which is the top and which is the bottom when rigging? Does it really matter or make a difference when rigging it? Do the claw appendages flutter like a Paca Craw or Rage Craw on the retrieve, or are they more like a Chigger Craw?

I like the fighting frog for pitching. If you look closely there are small eyes on the top. I rig with the shallow groove on top. The legs do flutter but imo has less thump than a rage/paca craw.

I used them with some success last year.

I was looking for something with a different profile.

The large one works nicely on a Jika Rig.

The smaller one makes a unique drop shot bait that the smb here like quite a bit.

I haven't seen the smaller ones yet but I will definitely give them a try. I need to experiment with the Jika rig to.

I rig it head first on the hook, ridges down.  I generally use this with 3/4 oz to 1 oz.. weight or more, in shallow slap.
