Does anybody know what's ugly stik lite taper is?

What one is it. I have 8 or 9 but they just tell you on the rod ultra lite lite, med etc. Really that's all you need. I have been using Ugly Stik since the first year they were made. Best and most durable rod ever made. And do not cost a leg and a arm. I know on here they do it have much support. They say they are heavy and you cannot feel with them. I do not really buy either explanation. I am 74 today and I fish with them only. Also if you were able to feel every last thing on the bottom I am not sure it would do you all that much more good. Interpreting what is going on at the end of your line is something you learn with experience.

I forgot to mention. You can find the taper of any rod by just turning the blank upside down putting the ip on the floor then raising the rod and pressing it against the tip. It is a good idea to do that when buying a ugly stik. They are ll about the same anyway. One trouble with ugly stik is they are sometimes stiffer than the rating.
