Take a look at some of the information on the Jann’s Netcraft website.  They have a whole “Ask the Experts” section on making different lure styles.  There are also some great videos on making your own skirts, and several others.  Their “Ask the Experts” section is on the left side of the page about half way down, just click on any of the titles in the box and it will give you a great source of information.
