So I bought this line to spool two setups one is one of my universal setups that I use mainly for jigs and swim jigs... The other is for my light texas rigs 1/8 tungsten weight usually. I purchased the 15lb test, which is the same diameter as the 12lb mono that I previously used. I really like it for both set ups but was wondering if 15lb test was the correct size floro to use for the light texas rigs? I mean, I think it's good but after reading a bunch of stuff, I was wondering if a 12lb test would be better.

I don't plant on removing it or anything i just want to know for future reference.

Too heavy for my liking. I'd go with 10lb or 12lb max.  You can use what you got, but next time try a down size and see what works better for you. 

I rarely use 12.  I usually throw 10 or 15.  I would say yes its what I would use in most situations.  Are you throwing a 7" worm or creature bait? 

#10 InvizX is a good fit for spinning tackle, but treat your line with KVD Line & Lure

Conditioner and DO NOT overspool. For baitcasting gear I prefer #20 AbrazX.

Treat it with KVD L&L as RW stated and you will be fine.

15# holds a little too much memory for my liking. I prefer 12#. Besides, 15# is a pain to break off when snagged. (200 size casting reel).

 

Been using Tatsu though; I'd guess Invizx would be similar.

I usually throw baby brush hogs or 6 to 7.5 worms...I have been using space monkeys and other rage products a lot.. 95 percent of the time it's with a 1/8 weight sometimes weightless.. For Texas rigs I always use a gammy 4/0 hook either offset worm or ewg.. my texas rig set up is a lews tournament with a 7'1" *** medium fast..I do not own or plan on owning a spinning reel anytime soon..

Ever since you and other members told me about the KVD L&L I have been using it faithfully.. Mr. Swim jig never lead me in the wrong direction except the subwoofer on the swim jig, lol I can't get bit with it.. But I can use a Little Dipper on the back in the same color and get it destroyed!

Thanks for the help guys..I will stay with the 15 and might try some 12 or so next time! I currently don't have any problems and hopefully I won't have problems in The future.. maybe I will like a smaller line maybe not.

if flouro is invisible then there should be no difference in catch rate.i would go with 15.

Well I wasn't really talking about the catch rate.. And I fish in dingey, stained sometimes muddy south Louisiana waters most of the time, so that isn't a issue.. Just wondering if there was any issues with the technique with the heavier line
