Maybe It Has Changed

Featured Replies

it has been rough here in Indiana the last few weeks we have had water in the mid 80's and the air has been in the 90's. The last big fish was about 3 weeks ago.  We have got fish but most in the 14 inch range. Today my brother got off work and we went out about 5:30 and the first hour we had nothing we were thinking maybe this is the first time we get skunked in about a year and 1/2.  We went to a spot at the end of the lake that was protected form the wind and I get one about 10 inches to keep the streak alive.  We fish the rocks and the good spots at that end and nothing it was going to be a slow day I thought we did miss a few.  We go out to the island again and I get a big strike on a lizard and can feel the fish he was a monster then he spits it..(on this lake 100 acred I really need to watch my mouth when I lose a big one..lol) my brother loses a big one also a few min later then nothing else....we go on down and fish a spot (some woods and a channel) that has produced the last few big fish.  We get to the channel and get a double not big but at least my brother got one.  I then get another small one and my brother says he is ready to go and I say lets fish this strip of woods again before we go.  He sets the hook and his rod doubles over and the fight was on this was the hardest fighting fish we have had on all year after a while the bass gets in the boat she was a thick as any spawning bass I have seen weighted 5 pounds but put 4 more inchers on her and she will be a monster.  Of course the battery on the gopro died about 30 min before the big bass.
