Favorite Cold Front Bait

Featured Replies

I went fishing the other day on the first day of a cold front. It had been about 85 most of the week and it dropped to about 75. I went out with a frog cause Ive become adicted to fishing frogs this summer and there is so much junk on the bottom of the pond, if I throw a jig or T-Rig, it will pick up all the junk.  Anyway, what is everyones favorite bait and/or presentation to use durring a cold front?

Light Rage-Rigged 7" Thumper or Cutt'R Worm.

If the water isn't too dirty I like a wacky rigged stickworm. It will stay out of the weeds/muck on the bottom and fall slowly right on their noses when they don't want to chase.

Mojo rig with a finesse worm has produced for me this season.

Small plastic grub, tube or worm on a light jighead (exposed hook if cover allows).
