Do you know when the best time for salmonfishing in ca? And do somebody know some good guid there for a fishingtrip? which rivers are great for salmon?

Welll mrbadguy it's rocking right now in Oregon so I'm sure ca is right there too. But your a bit vague on wether you want rivers or ocean or even what part of ca. Since it looks like your out of country your makin it tough. Good luck...a little more specific and we may be able to help.

I'm on the roadtrip from salt lake city over las vegas to san francisco and i want to fish in rivers for salmon.

For bass i want to try it in the lakes and ponds. I'm a only artificial lure fisher but not with the fly.

_{Too Bad you aren't in Seattle....we are having record runs of Pink Salmon which we catch with bass rods on urban rivers!!! Combat fishing in the Puyallup River and nice un-crowded fishing on the Green/Duwamish river!!! With Lake Washington right here also you could do 1/2 day river.... half day Bass!!}

Hot spots are in the Northern California area. Like Oroville, Marysville, and Sacramento. Check out the American river in Sacramento. Other than that I don't know any other places. This will be my 2nd time salmon fishing.

Okay there are only a few rivers. Maybe i will try the american river. Are in lake tahoe good salmonfishinig?

Don't know. When I was in lake Tahoe for a week I didn't do much fishing. Only fishing I did was trout but I hung out more than fishing on the pontoon boat that we rented. I did a research about lake tahoe fishing but forgot what I read. I do know there is/are fishing guide(s) at tahoe though. You will need to search for them as I forgot. Good luck and have fun.

Iagree...to bad you can't go a little further north for the salmon...but your in great bass area.
