Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make any type of lure from household items? Any help is appreciated!

i old guy i met makes. pike lures out of tea and soup spoons. he cuts the handle off then grinds it smooth, then he drills a hole at each end, adds a O ring to each end, then a treble hook, before he puts anything on, he paints them the colors he likes best. hope this helps.

I've done this and it does work, I've caught bass on them but never fished for pike with one.

You can get 4 packs of spoons from Wal Mart for $.94 to save yourself the ear full you'll get for cutting up good kitchen spoons

I made my share of spoons over last winter and found my local thrift store to be cheapest source; they sell individual pieces of flatware for a dime each and there's usually a wide variety of shapes and sizes to pick from.
