Here in Florida where most of the lakes are relativly shallow, [except for a few] every angler I fish with has one tied on.

I love the square bill. All day, every day!

How do you guys keep from getting hung up with your square bills? Bomber has made a deep squarebill, has anyone tried it?

If you throw squarebills in the nasty stuff (and you should) you will get snagged occasionally. You just have to go get them! Most don't run deep enough to make that too much of a problem. A lure retriever will sometimes help. Like a jig, losing them is part of the deal.

 

I have not tried any of the deep SBs. 

I use the KVD 2.5, 5/8 oz

Killed em all year on the KVD 1.5 squarebill and Xcalibur oneknockers (when I was cranking). Usually throw plastics around sunup and sundown.
