What do you think of the 2nd gen Daiwa Megaforce THS Casting Reel. I know there were many problems with the first gen. I found them brand new for$29.99. I don't even want one but for that price why not?

You can be our guinea pig.  By one.  Test it.  Review it.  I bought one of the Procaster 100HN reels when they were on closeout for $30.  Not the lightest or sexiest reel around, but it seems to be a nice solid reel.  Hopefully you will have the same results with the Megaforce.

Procaster = metal frame, Megaforce = graphite frame.  Completely different animals.

 

Had one of the old Megaforces (a gift), nice reel except the clutch went kaput in less than a year.  I'll never buy a graphite baitcaster.
