Wtb: Reels

Recommended Posts

I am in search of some decent reels to get me by for this year. I am going to try to go with the 6 rod method since I am boater this year and for the foreseeable future , spent all the money on quality rods and now I'm searching for reels to get me through until I can save and dump good money into the reels.

Let me know what you got!

Needing a reel for:

Crankbaits 5.4:1 ? Winch style reel

Top Water (Buzz bait / Spook etc)

Spinnerbait

Jig / Frog stick (top water on Lake Guntersville) Curado 200G7 from Zach

Already got my texas rig reel.

Like I said, these are to get me through this year until I can save and get some better quality reels. Budget is flexible, but I don't want to dump a lot of money into them either.

Two older Shimano Bantam Citica 200B. Both are 5.0:1
Both have had the bushings removed and had bearings put in. They are in fantastic condition. If you've ever fished with the older Citicas and Curados, or heard people talk about them, you know what these are. $80 each, $75 for two.

I also have a Curado 200BSF in good condition. $80

I also have two H2O Mettle reels. They are fantastic reels for the price. Just bought last year, $30 each, two for $25.

I have a rod made by Mike at DVT here on the site. MXH blank, 7'H power, fast action, split foam grip, micro guides, FUJI ECS reel seat, all black, no color. $150

Rainshadow RX7, 7'MH power, fast action, full cork rear grip, micro guides, Batson exposed reel seat, silver wraps. $150.

GLooomis IMX 7'H Fast.  $150

I've got a Revo S that's a couple years old (the silver/grey one), supertuned and in good condition with minimal boat rash. Has the 6:4.1 gear ratio that makes it a good reel for topwater or spinnerbaits. Rarely gets used because it's on my Carolina Rig rod and I'd just about rather stay home and watch TV than Carolina Rig. I'd take $80 for it.

Getting in a little late but. Here goes. I have a curado 200e7 built to the hilt all new gears, carbontex drag and abec7 bearings complete super tune. I also have a chronarch 200e6 the same way. They probably did not need the gears but when I go thru I replace gears w new. These are way over the norm in quality and performance. Think on it and lemme know

I've got 2 Gen 3 Revo STX. 6.4:1 and 7.1:1

I also have a Gen 1 premier custom painted, very nice winch handle with 4 bearings added to it. Its an awesome cranking reel.

I would work out a VERY fair price for all 3. It wouldn't definitely beat all the individual prices listed so far.

Shoot me a PM.
