Ninja Spin

Featured Replies

I recieved this spinnerbait by some random person at a boat launch when i was around 9.  I ended up catching my very first bass, not out of a pond on it.  I can't remember who made it, and I haven't seen them since I lost it.  But it was by far the best spinnerbait I've ever thrown.  I don't know if it was a fluke thing, or if I just had more confidence in it than others.

Even while catching fish on it, it looks so funky, you can't take it seriously.

I fished a tournament with a guy in my neighborhood and he asked me, "Are you sure you want to throw that, I have plenty others in my box?"  I said "I'm fine", and we ended up with big bass, and big sack  ;)

One of my favorite baits of all time, and haven't fished one in 2 years.  ;)

gambler made a spinnerbait called the ninja spin.

If You can find em,especially in 1/2 oz ****** them up. They are killer baits and come through grass pretty darn well.

You can make your own, all you need is to purchase the components, the blades of that particlar spinnerbait are called Doc Shelton blades.

My first spinner was also a ninja

They are on the Gambler Lures website but when you click on the product for more info, only a description comes up.  It doesn't allow you to purchase them.  I wonder if they have stopped selling them.  Anyone know for sure?

I thought they did stop selling them and was surprised to even see them on the website. If I am not mistaken they were on clearance last year on their site. Thats why I made the statement of "if you can find them". I haven't actually contacted the company yet about it though.

I contacted Gambler and they have stopped selling them.  They directed me to a hardware store in Tampa, FL believe it or not who they thought had some in stock.  They only had a few left and I bought whatever they had left.  I can't believe they aren't selling these anymore and they will certainly be hard to find but I am sure there are some floating around somewhere.

Do what Raul says and you can have as many as you want ;)

Why a company stops making a lure ?

Companies are businesses, it 's all about money, if a bait doesn 't sell well they are not going to waste time ( which means money ) in making it. The rosorces are better placed in something that has a faster turn about.

That still doesn't explain why companies(cough cough-rapala) would stop making a bait that every pro on tour has in their box and DOES in fact sell and catch fish like crazy just to come up with some newfangled bait that resembles it but is made cheaply.
