I'm struggling to find maps of local water bodies in the north east with creek channels river channels shown. I've seen them In southern lake maps as well as online mapping software but it seems that here in New England they don't bother showing them. So my question is that is there a way to find the channel based in the contour lines? I live in New Hampshire in case any of you want to look at a lake map for here and see what I mean

A lot of the NE lakes are glacial so there are no creek channels.

With all the chatter about creek channels in bass fishing, you'd think every lake has them.  The reality is, the majority of lakes with creek channels are man-made.  You won't find them in most natural lakes.

Thanks guys. We do have reservoirs most that have been around for ages and maybe te creek as silted over. I do In fact have the latest navionics hd with sonarchart on my phone however can't find any in my area with creeks marked. Did you see any Wayne or mumbly?

I only looked at one and it had the red creek channel lines. Lake Winnisquam

I'll be damned dude. I have never checked this lake before but have checked almost 100 others in nh/ma and found none. U check one n it has one. I must look like a tard but I assure u this might be the only in the state

You have mostly natural lakes up there so there won't be a river channel. If it has a dam, there's about a 99% chance it'll have one though.
