Post Rain Success

Featured Replies

If you live anywhere near NC, you already know it rained HARD today. I knew when it started raining, there was one thing I was sure to be doing after work, and thats fishing. Last monday was the same way; rained all day long, and stopped just in time for me to get on the water.

Iv been tearing em up at a local neighborhood pond after the rain, when the water starts rushing into the pond via the drains. I throw a 5/16 oz jig, and go to work. The bass love that spot after the rains weve had because there are shad in that spot by the hundreds. The bite hasn't started to heat up real good yet in my neck of the woods, so the biggest bass Iv caught this year have come from this spot. Theyre not hawgs, but my babies none the less. First pic is my two best from last week, and the second pic is from tonight.

That looks like a nice relaxing place to fish!

Its a pretty good place to fish when the water starts running through the drains. I dont think Iv ever caught any there if if wasnt raining. That drain crawls with snakes during the summer. Nasty.
