Anybody try these? Thoughts/reviews?

It bears a striking resemblance to the Arkie U-Bolt...but at over twice the price.

They also offer this with a football head, in 1/2 and 3/4 oz.

I have several packs of the U-Bolts sitting here, but haven't had an opportunity to try them out. Well, that's not entirely true... I've had the opportunity, but I always pass over the U-Bolt in favor of the Giggy Head. :(

I thought the same when I seen them. I don't like that you are not able to change the hook size or shape on them. I think I am going to try and drill through a lead egg weight big enough to insert a snap swivel in.  Then I'll be able to have all kinds of something like these expensive little things for not much money and I will be able to switch hooks.  Who knows if it will work or not...

The U head is a rounball head with a regular off-set worm hook. Hard head is a football head with an EXG hook. Hard head hook quality is much much better. I have to file paint off of the points of the u head's hooks. Agree that the hard heads are expensive though.

Shop around...there are some guys making these now, good quality, with your choice of hook, for less money.

What is every one's favorite plastic to use?

I bought some of the arkie heads the football style last year and cut the hooks off and attatched a gamakatsu skip gap worm hooks to them, it was not easy but you can do it. You have to have a really hard punch and a piece of 2x4 if you are careful you can open the hook eye up enough to put them on the head you will screw some hooks up but it is possible. I tried doing it with other hooks but owners were just to hard you ended up breaking them. It is a great lure to use when combined with a sweet beaver or one of the biffle bugs. We won several tournaments last year during the hottest part of the summer when no one was catching many fish we had limits of good fish using this.
