Council Bluff Lake

Featured Replies

never fished it, probably give it a try in the next month or so..... how is "enough" boat ramp? heard it was gravel? is it still decent?  or would you recommend going to wild boar campground, forking out the $4 and launching there?

I am going there today. If you have a nicer boat i wouldn't launch at enough ramp. I used to launch my '01 tracker there but I'm not taking my ranger there.

Well since this post I've been there a couple times. Both times caught over 10 fish a couple around 2lbs (which is a good council bluff lake fish). I really fell like you have to go deeper there year round and stop beating the banks even in the spring. Best fishing you can do there is before or during a pretty good storm front. Which kinda sucks. We've pulled 4lb+ fish out right before storms. That's why I say go deeper. Those big guns will be there no matter what the front is doing
