A Good Fluro?

Featured Replies

Help me out with suggesting a good fluro.

Sooo many suggestions. I can only speak to the fluoro I've tried:

1) Bass Pro XPS fluoro

2) Seaguar Red Label

XPS fluoro hasn't really *technically* let me down yet. If it gets hung, or frayed, you must retie, that's all I can say.

P - Line 100% Fluoro

I'm a big seaguar fan. I normally fish the re label for the price point. But will buy some invisix and other better lines for tournaments.

The one thing I have learned about the BR crowd and flourocarbon is what NOT to buy, Berkley Vanish. I hate to say it but this is what I use because I got some on super clearance. Now that I have my drag set and am mindful of not stressing it to much I have had zero problems, but had a few break offs in the beginning. I will opt for something different next time.

Vanish is the most brittle, horrible garbage ever invented.

With my apologies to Native Americans, "The only good flouro is a dead flouro."...

Seaguar InvizX or Tatsu...

I've used a handful of different brands in my search to find the one that suited me the best.

I've stuck with Sunline sniper for over a year now. There's nothing bad to say about it. Memory isn't bad without a conditioner. It's very sensitive on slack line bites. Knot strength is good and abrasion resistance. Sometimes you can find a but one get one deal on it also. 2 spools for $25

I had good experiences with Berkley 100% fc also. Decent for a $16 line. Walmart stopped carrying it. Have to order if I wanted more.

Bps xps worked well too. Only bps is 2hrs away.

Seaguar red label is cheap but the sensitivity just wasn't there for me. A glorified mono in my eyes.

The invisx was ok but it had some memory issues to me. Line and lure helped though.
