Ardent Reel

Featured Replies

Anyone have any experience with ardent reels. I believe the one I saw atgander mountain the other day was a tournament. It was $99.99. Are they of good quality? Or should I stay away from them. Thanks

Bait casting or spinning?

The original Ardent bait casting reel were made in the US, heavy for today's standards, a good reel.

The newer reels are made off shore like most brands and better quality reels are available for your money.

Check with Ron at Valley Sports, site sponsor, for a price on Daiwa Tatula or Shimano Curado 1 bait casting reels.

I have a U.S. made Ardent 1000 I dearly love - it's caught a bunch of bass- I paid $249 for it - if they are no longer made here and are only $99 I figure you'll get something less than my old one.
