Tenka Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 Has anyone tried this? It looks to me like it be worth while if you want a really detailed lure. It would also make it extremely cheaper for me to continue with my latest hobby. Quote
Super User flechero Posted March 1, 2006 Super User Posted March 1, 2006 Sounds ok as long as you seal/finish the lure adequately to prevent the colors from bleeding or washing off. Quote
Guest whittler Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 Tenka, don't be afraid to try something new. Colored pencils, magic markers or paint pens can make some really neat color combinations. The bait in this picture is a Tusnami that is covered with Christmas ribbon and top-coated, don't throw anything away or give up any idea untill you try it. Quote
Tenka Posted March 4, 2006 Author Posted March 4, 2006 Thanks Whittler! If you got my PM you know i am getting ready to move so i am almost finished til Xmas on making lures i have 1 more to seal and test other than the 2 in the other post. On the topic of off ideas i picked up a small 1/2 flat tip piant brush and notice the wooden handle looked like a cross between lipless crank and a glide bait. When the brush is finished i may attempt to modify it as a lure. I didn't even think about using xmas paper or ribbons, that stuff comes in all kinds of designs and reflective patterns. Thanks Again.
