A while back I purchased the manns umbrella rig I had forgotten about it until know and I am wondering how to fish it when to fish it and other things that would be important to know when fishing this rig. Also what size rod and reel sizes to use, along with line size

Heavy rod and reel and heavy line.  They can weight up to 3 oz when fully rigged.  I asked the same question a few days ago as I am looking to get an A-rig soon.

I waited until they were on sale at somewhere and ended up get mine for ten bucks at bps

You can also pick up the yum brand one at dicks for $5-10. I run it with 50 lb braid. By the time you fully rig it up you could be talking 30-50$ depending on what swim baits and hooks you go with. Don't won't to see that sinking to the botton.

Spring and fall. The Rig does not seem to be as effective in warmer water.
