What Water Color Does Junebug Work In?

Featured Replies

David Dudley did a vid on where to use junebug and drew the most ridicules looking map but got the point across. He said coastal areas and all of Fla because of tannic stained waters which are clear but dark looking. Works for me but I live near and fish coastal areas and its one of our best colors.

Junebug : Clear water / Overcast ; stained water sun or overcast .

Black & Blue : Muddy water sun or overcast .

I use both Junebug along with Black & Blue colored soft plastics for conditions above .

Works in pretty much all water clarities especially muddy

Interesting that it seems either you love it or it doesn't work at all.

I caught my first bass on a Junebug worm on a shaky head and I haven't thrown Junebug or a shaky head since that day, probably been a decade since then.

I'm gonna order some shaky heads and Junebug worms now.

June bug is the Rambo of worm colors in my experience. I have caught plenty of bass in perfectly clear water conditions as well as muddy. It is easily my go to color if I am uncertain.
