Roboworm Bags

Featured Replies

Just curious as to why nearly all soft plastics come in a resealable bag and roboworms do not. I keep mine in a ziploc bag which is fine, just curious. Save money on packaging?

I have been able to find them is resealable bags (see pic) but it is a rare find.  I have no clue why they don't always do this ...

that pack from Felix looks like some newer packaging than what i have seen....

the fact that they are a fairly "small" operation in the grand scheme of things is likely why they don't invest as much in packaging.  They make these right here in the USA so they may not have all the overseas hook ups on packaging that some do.  That's just my thought, but the worms are great!  I use a BPS worm bag with sealable bags inside so it doesn't bother me, but i hear ya.

Probably because you go through them so fast, they know you won't be resealing the bag haha

Was thinking the same thing ...

I kind of like those goofy bags they come in. I can pack it with a few different colors of worms, a pack of 1/0 Gamakatsu Drop Shot hooks, a pack of 3/16 oz. drop shot weights, and a small pair of pliers. Fold it up, put it in my pocket, and start cruising the bank with my spinning rod. It's easy to get in and out of, and I never have individual Roboworms long enough to worry about "freshness." Even when I'm fishing out of the boat, they are in the worm bag, and I'm happy not mess with another poor quality, "resealable" package to frustrate me that day.

I just cut the corner of each bag, and gently tap the other end to get the worms out. I find that to be most effective. The reason they do this is definitely cost cutting.

I'm not sure of the reason, but I'd gladly pay 20cents more, just to get a usable bag. Gladly.

I have a few packages of the old ones.  I made the mistake of forgetting about one that was open in my soft plastic tackle bag and wow what a mess.  The goo on the inside seemed to seep into everything.  I ended up putting them in some empty old soft plastic bags.  No issues.  One thing about though, with out the goo in the bag, they dry up quick.
