Recommended Posts

For baits and lures..... If you could only choose 3..... Regardless of the bait or lure, state, or season. What would be your 3 must have colors?

If I can only pick three colors for plastics in South Florida  they would be:

1). watermelon red

2). Okeechobee

3). junebug / black       (A tie)

Like Basshunter, Morning Dawn is a good new color.

I use 3 color combinations or more in most my lure choices and they differ seasonally, weather like bright sun, overcast & rain, light conditions like day and night, type of baitfish, terrestrial critters, crawdads, so can't pick out only 3 colors, can list the top 3 prey type coloration I try to duplicate.

Threadfin shad, crawdads and rainbow trout if the bass are keying on those.

Tom

PS, how long will today's 3 colors posted previously in this thread will be around in 5 years? Today's hot colors are soon forgotten!
