Does anyone know anything about this reel, I got it for christmas along with a nice UL rod. anybody have one that can state the likes and dislikes?

I have it's bigger brother, the Avenger 30a. It has served me well over the last 3 years that I've had it. I've used it to reel in bass, carp and catfish. The drag is plenty strong. And it has not let me down. The only minor thing that you may need to watch out for is the graphite handle. With enough use and rubbing against your hand/fingers, the silver paint will rub off. But of course that is just cosmetic.

that's great news, thanks man! the reels smooth and I've heard nothing but good so far.

I have 2 of the 30 size baitfeeder reels. Wouldn't be my first choice for bass but they make a great reel for catfish and wipers.
