New Here From Eastern Kansas

Featured Replies

Hey all, I've been lurking now for the last day and like what I see. I figured I'd go ahead and register last night at work, so this is my introductory post. My name is Andy, I live in a small town south of Lawrence, KS and my favorite species of fish is the smallmouth bass. I love to float and wade fish creeks and rivers, but, being in Kansas, there are laws against that type of thing outside of parks and the three large rivers in the state. Thus, I spend a lot of time on the Missouri side of the line fishing in the Kansas City area as well as in the Ozarks. Any questions, feel free to ask.

Oh man, you've come to the right place! Lots of KC area guys on here, myself included (Gardner). We have a really active thread about pretty much all the lakes in the area, feel free to check it out and welcome!

You're not far from me.

I appreciate the warm welcome fellas!

Welcome! I'm a Kansas guy who has since moved to Mid-Missouri. Plenty of places to float and wade around here, but you have to put up with a bunch of Mizzou fans, so there's that trade off. Look forward to seeing you around the boards.

I am a die hard Mizzou fan. I grew up in Missouri, so no big deal there.

Oh no! Mizzou fan?

That's okay. This is a bass fishing forum. We won't worry about that little detail. I actually went to graduate school at Mizzou, so I try not to bag on them too much.

Especially in fall, right? Winter is yours, but fall...not so much.
