Nada Value Vs. Trade In Value

Featured Replies

I have a 08 Yamaha F60 outboard motor that the NADA value is between $4,200 -4,800.

The dealership I went to in Inverness Florida offered $2,700 for a trade in towards a new 90hp.

How close to the NADA value could I expect to get ? 2700 just seems a little low.

The dealer needs to make a profit and he's going to take over the responsibility of selling it. If you think you can sell it easily on your own then go for it. If not, it may be worth it to trade and save yourself the headache

Trade in value just like with anything is always going to be lower than what it's worth unless they're making you pay more on the other end. You could sell it outright and make out better.

Nada value is what the dealer can sell it for. If you get an offer over 50% of Nada, take it. Your only other option is too try and sell it yourself.

Agree outboards sell fast around here. Unless you don't want to mess with it
